This is the VILLAGE HALL page

The full name of the Village Hall is the Eckington Village Memorial Hall.

The extract below is taken from first book of the Village Hall minutes, "Summary of events 1919 to 1928".

"The Eckington Old Comrades Association was formed in 1919, chiefly for the purpose of erecting a hut to serve as a war memorial. With this object in view, money was collected by every practical method: donations were received from the British Legion and from the Farmers' Union ... The question of site was settled when the Vicar offered to purchase and give a suitable piece of ground including the site on which the old Institute stood"

THE VILLAGE HALL RE-OPENED ON 30 AUGUST 2020.
